  • Available in a wide variety of materials for service in almost any chemical stream (including HF)
  • Individual parts can be replaced for ease of maintenance and economy
  • High cell constants and large passages
Using Kynar as the basic piping material, the metal used for the electrodes can be easily changed to meet the most demanding applications. The large size of the flow passage (1/2" pipe standard) is ideal for less than clean streams that might clog a more typically constructed sensor with its inherent small cross sectional flow areas.

Application Notes
With electrodes available in every metal from pure platinum to naval brass, the CSFT is able to provide reliable measurements in some of the nastiest chemicals out there. Originally designed for a concentration control measurement in a 5% hydrofluoric acid line, its success in that application established its credentials as the trouble-shooter of our conductivity sensor line. Matching to chemical service is done on an individual basis, so there is no "standard" configuration.

Pairing to a given analyzer make is as simple as matching the TC element which is contained in a thermowell which is also the center electrode. The three electrode design eliminates outside conduction paths as an interference, and greatly reduces electrical noise pickup. By connecting the electrodes in different combinations, three different cell constants can be achieved (such as 5, 10 and 20) for added rangeability, should that prove necessary.
