Model CSTK Conductivity Sensor

  • High cell constants achieved with low cost and large flow passageways
  • Large electrodes and passages provide less sensitivity to bubble
  • Individual parts are replaceable and cell constant is easily changed
When salts and other inorganics are added to water, dissolved gasses cannot exist at their previous levels, and small bubbles form on all submerged surfaces. This will interfere with normal conductivity sensors, but the large inner dimensions of the CSTK give it good resistance to bubble problems. Ideal for batch mixing measurements.

Application Notes
Wetted materials of construction are epoxy, polypropylene and Teflon, with dual EPR o-rings at all seal points. The outer ring absorbs any chemical attack, allowing the protected back ring to provide uninterrupted sealing action. The temperature compensation element is contained in the tip of one of the large (1/4" diameter) electrodes, for fast TC response and thus more accurate measurements.

Connections are made via 1/2" FNPT ports in the tank wall. The electrode holders are mounted, then the guard portions installed within the tank or line. Four epoxy tubes on the guards determine the cell constant value, and these can easily be changed to achieve other ranges. By changing the one electrode that contains the temperature element, the sensor can be matched to many makes of analyzers.
