The Easy-Out valve pH sensor offers an ease of access that must be seen to be believed, but believe it! A quarter turn of the valve handle, a single turn of the electrode, and it can be pulled out of a high pressure line in seconds, reinstalled in about the same number of seconds. There literally isn't another sensor like it.
Physical Description
Wetted materials of construction are PVC or CPVC, with Teflon and EPR seals. End connections are 1-1/2" NPT . There is a bottom port in the valve threaded for 1/4" NPT that can be used for a temperature element, a sample valve, or any optional access that may be needed to the large inner flow chamber.
The standard unit is intended to be mounted in a horizontal run, but an optional all-position glass electrode allows mounting in any direction. The electrode holder is designed so that on the first half turn of removal (all that can be done with one movement of your hand) the retaining threads continue to hold, while the sealing 0-ring leaves its seat, allowing leakage at a drip rate This gives a warning if the valve handle isn't closed, and also acts as an automatic pressure relief.
