Food, pharmaceutical and other "sanitary" applications will readily accept this sensor. It can be tailored to either steam sterilization or chemical cleaning, and requires no tools to service or remove for inspection.
Application Notes
Wetted materials of construction are 316 stainless steel, glass or epoxy, and Teflon, with EPR o-ring seals. The center fitting is double heliarc welded to a Ladish or Tri-Clover blind flange of a size specified by the customer. Insertion depths are tailored to the different sizes so that the electrode tip will lie near the center of the flow line for rapid, accurate response. Temperature compensation element can be placed in a separate thermowell (in its own flange)
or built into the measuring electrode body. When piping permits, having the TC in its own housing increase the reliability of the electrode, and reduces its replacement cost. Because this assembly utilizes standard 12mm diameter electrodes constructed for use in a variety of other fittings, replacement cost is usually less than the special electrodes built to fit into large, exotic and unecessarily complex holders typically found in this service.
